A former porn star has revealed how she makes £50,000 a year satisfying 'teachers, policemen and judges' in her new online career.

Sammie Kane makes £3.50 a minute fulfilling the fantasies of dozens of men every week as they watch her at the other end of a webcam.

The 25-year-old works from her Birmingham flat and has opened up her life to a different sort of camera in a new BBC Three documentary, The Truth About Webcam Girls.

The cameras follow three British girls, including Sammie, as they service the sexual needs of thousands of men.

Top webcam sites rank among the top 50 most visited in the world and it is estimated that the industry is worth up to £1.2 billion.

This month an American model earned $42,000 for a single hour over the internet, paid by an Australian in an auction for what is believed to be the most expensive webcam session ever.

One of the most popular British websites has more than 100,000 members and employs more than 3,000 models.

Top models can make £1,000 a night, while Sammie sets herself a daily target of £150 from around 20 customers.

On a good night she can make £350, while she rakes in £150 a week from one man alone.

Sammie, who lives with her girlfriend, says: "I know these men are teachers, policemen and judges, who hold positions of authority but who want to be submissive to me.

"They want me to tell them to walk around with drawing pins in their boxer shorts, or put on dog leads and be used as an ashtray.

"They want to worship my feet or be tortured, to have their life controlled and be put through pain and humiliation.

"I'm happy to sit there with my clothes on while they walk around in their wife's panties! It's easy money.

"I am a hard worker, though. I switch the webcam on at 11am and often work until 2am, although I'm not sat in front of it the whole time.

"I can be doing things around the flat and then run to it when it pings. The peak time is between 11pm and 1am.

"I can work from home and I am in control of what I do, which I never used to be.

"I made more than 100 porn films in three years.

"I felt under pressure to do what the director told me, otherwise they would get another girl in to do it.

"But I can say no on the webcam. I have no problem taking all my clothes off, but the only thing I won't cater for is the schoolgirl fetish. I think that's dodgy.

"I am trying to earn and save as much as I can so I can get out of this business.

"I dropped out of a psychology course at 17 but I want to go back to that.

"My dream is to become a motivational speaker, warning kids not to do what I did and telling people how to turn their lives around.

"I want to be actually helping people in society. "I got sucked into the porn business when my friend, who's a stripper, got me an audition for the TV sex line channel Babestation.

"They were paying £60 an hour instead of the £5 an hour I was earning serving at Home Bargains, so it seemed an obvious choice.

"The money is a big temptation. But I got caught up in a whirlwind and I wish I hadn't got into porn films.

"I made them mainly in Los Angeles but also in London and Prague.

"I was paid between £500 and £2,000 a film and had sex with men and women, but I don't think any amount of money is worth it.

"I pushed myself to limits I didn't want to. I would never have sex for money again.

"I kidded myself I was happy, but I wasn't. I created Keisha as a porn character, but I hated myself.

"You have bad people around you who only want you for money and it's horrible. You can't put a price on your soul.

"I just want to leave all the negativity behind. I am not hiding, I will always admit I was Keisha, but that's not who I am now.

"The webcam stuff is better and I like doing the dominatrix stuff, where I insult them, because I've formed a hatred for men through my job. This is my payback."

"Sammie is in a relationship with student Amara, who she calls her wife, and they live together.

"She knows everything I do," says Sammie.

"She is often in the flat too when I'm on the webcam."

"It's a world that most people don't know about, which is why I took part in the documentary.

"I am prepared for negative feedback but I know myself.

"I don't judge people and I hope people don't judge me.

"I am open about what I do. I told my dad about doing the porn films and he was disappointed but he supported me.

"He's not proud of what I do but he accepts it.

"It's not what I want to do forever."

* The Truth About Webcam Girls is screened on BBC Three on Wednesday at 10pm
